The gardening club grow their own chip butties
Mr Ingles' gardening club have been hard at work growing all kinds of fruit and veg in the Academy garden. But one plant that had been doing especially well was their potatoes!
The club decided that they wanted to dig up the potatoes and make chip butties. Mr Ingles thought that sounded like a brilliant idea.
They all worked together to dig up the potatoes and then took them inside, where they took it in turns to peel the potatoes and turn them in to chips.
Everyone buttered a piece of bread and waited patiently, but very hungrily whilst the chips cooked. When they were done, everyone agreed it must have been all the hard work they put in that made the chips taste especially good.
